Manifesto

I miss the days of old.

Automotive engineering and design used to be crazy and uncastrated. Remember the Audi TT Bimoto? One engine in the front, one in the back. The Ford Nucleon? Strap a nuclear reactor to a car. Why the fuck not. There are countless more. And today? Not to step on anyone's toes: most uniform, electric and missing a soul.

That's why I started this archive of machines never homologated. None of these machines were ever built. That is the point. Each one asks the same question: what if the story had continued? Had gone down a different alley, in a different timeline? A rally programme that never got its evolution. A record attempt that never left the workshop. A chapter the brand never released.

The machines are designed, not found. Every graft is argued before it is made: the 348 takes its rear lights from a Porsche. Offended by it? Move on. Then the work is built the way a shoot is built. Composed, staged, lit, graded, drawn and redrawn until the machine sits in its world as if it had always been there.

One machine creates one volume. Its episodes bring it to life in different worlds. The films give it movement.

New volume every week. At least that is the goal. The archive is curated with my everlasting love for cars, art and fiction.

Take the archive by mail. One message when a volume opens, nothing else.
