The idea

The CLK GTR is one of the most astonishing cars ever built. That part is not up for discussion. As a teenager I had it as a Tamiya RC, self built, self painted, and those bodies pop off and on in a second. Every time I lifted it I asked myself the same thing: what if I just put a turbine under there? Wouldn't that be fun? So this is not an homage, it is that question built at full scale. And since the thing famously went flying at Le Mans, a jet on a Benz felt almost fitting.
